7. What Happened To Batista?
From Joe in Montreal via email First I'll tell you that I read WhatCulture articles every morning, am a fan of all things WWE and I love your work. My question is this: What happened to Batista's face?! Me and my girlfriend were looking at old pictures of this guy and he used to have a rugged angular nice looking face. Now it looks all round and swollen like a bowling ball. No wrinkles to be seen anywhere... did he fall in a jar of botox or something? If you know for sure, just tell us. That was pretty funny! I don't know for sure what his secret is or what's up with him because the chances of a Batista fashion book coming out is unlikely. However, he's always been a guy that has a unique look whether it's his face as you mentioned or his clothing style. Was he unable to hit the Batista Bomb because his jeans were too tight on Raw? I have no idea. It's just a bit weird with him. What I think happened with him is he knew he was coming back to WWE from a few months ago and tried to do everything he could to get in the best shape possible. Is he slimmer than he was in WWE four years ago? It looks like it. Better training, eating and not taking so many bumps in the ring will do that to a guy. I'm sure that over the weeks and months to come he'll alter up his look as he sees fit. When he was a heel in his last run he really had a lot of fun with it, so more power to him.
