WWE: 10 Questions You Most Want Answered (May 31)

3. Impressive Diva Match Leading To Change?

From @wilsoncapps: After the showing from Natalya and Charlotte at Takeover, what do you think wwe should do to fix the main divas roster?
First off, thanks for bringing up that match. It's one of the best divas matches in WWE history. They went nearly 20 minutes, had a competitive back and forth battle and Natalya put over the younger Charlotte clean. The crowd was appreciative of the hard work as they got a huge ovation post match as well as the acknowledgment of Hall of Famers Bret Hart and Ric Flair. It was fantastic. There are a number of things WWE can do to help the divas, but here's a quick list of three things. 1. Character development: Most of the babyface girls in WWE simply smile for the camera all the time. They have nothing else to distinguish them except for Emma as the girl that dances as if she is going after bubbles like a 5 year old. Alicia Fox has had character development in the last month, which has been great. What about the others? 2. More in-ring time: Nobody is going to become popular with a crowd if they don't get a sufficient amount of time to have quality matches. Too many divas matches on Raw & Smackdown are rushed. On Main Event sometimes they get more time, but that show isn't watched like the other two. A 10-15 minute divas match on Raw would be so refreshing yet it feels like it will never happen again. 3. More promos: When AJ Lee became the most popular diva on the roster it was because she was put into a main event level storyline and also due to all the promo time she received. Most babyface girls never get to talk or show any kind of personality. It needs to change. This could be a feature column I may write one day. Change for the divas on the main roster would be nice, but it's had to know if it is likely.
