WWE: 10 Questions You Most Want Answered (May 24)

8. Keeping Guys Around That Are Not On TV

From @MatthewToy: What's the point of WWE keeping guys like JTG and Zack Ryder for years and give them nothing to do?
It's a good point because a guy like JTG has been there for about seven years and the same can be said for Ryder. You can add Ryder's old tag team partner Curt Hawkins to the list too. There are a lot of guys that are barely doing anything right now. The best way to explain it is to say that they were talented enough to get there in the first place and for whatever reason WWE wants to keep them around. They can afford it. It's not like WWE goes around firing a lot of people anymore. They used to unload talent, but now they keep them around. In WWE's defense, they need bodies for house show matches although the roster is so deep right now that they could cut them loose too. There's not much the talent can do other than work hard at house shows, keep trying to impress the right people backstage and hope for the best. It's not like quitting WWE is a smart move either. There's nothing else out there that can pay you as much. That's part of the reason WWE keeps them around. They know they're not going to leave. WWE has leverage.
