From @cbrowncb: Why hasn't @WWE put out a Rock/Austin DVD like Bret/Shawn? That was arguably the best program in wrestling history!!!
Their history from the time they started feuding in 1997 to Austin's last match in 2003 was special. They seemed to bring out the best in each other and the moments they had, especially that match at WrestleMania 17, are things that we'll always remember as wrestling fans. It's definitely something that fans would love. It's probably tough for them to do since Rock has a very busy schedule and Austin always seems to be busy (listen to his podcast, he'll tell ya!), but it would be nice if they were able to get together for a day to film some interviews for something like that. WWE really needs to consider doing more of those rivalry DVDs because there are some incredible stories that can be told. Fans like that insight. A reason why WWE might be against it is because they don't want to expose the business too much, but they probably felt it was fine with Bret/Shawn since the Montreal Screwjob was such a big deal. It's a great idea. If not for a DVD release (do people still buy those?) then putting it as a one hour Network special would be great too.
