WWE: 10 Reasons Antonio Cesaro Is The Most Underrated Wrestler Today
4. Look
John Cena looks like a GI Joe bought to life. The Miz looks like a B-list movie star. Antonio Cesaro looks like a wrestler. He would not look out of place next to classic grapplers like Lou Thesz or Bruno Sammartino, his rugged countenance written clearly across his face. Cesaro looks like a man from another era. That shouldn't be something that is held against him, it should be used to make him unique. In an era when WWE wants wrestlers who look like movie stars they could use a wrestler who looks like a wrestler. He is not going to be a movie star in the same vein as The Rock, and that doesn't matter in the slightest. In the eyes of some Antonio Cesaro does not look like a WWE Champion, that is nonsense. Having gone back and looked at Hulk Hogan, Bob Backlund and Mick Foley I can't quite see what a WWE Champion looks like. What is true is that he doesn't have a great main of hair, he doesn't look like a film star and he doesn't look like a monster. Cesaro looks like a man who has come to wrestle, from his facial expressions, his physique and even down to his choice of in-wear attire. The simple leg wraps, rather than knee pads, are a clever nod to his strength and old school wrestling background. The current stories revolve around whether Daniel Bryan can be the "face" of the WWE, and Cesaro could slot perfectly into that debate.
