WWE: 10 Reasons Batista's Return Is Good For Business
6. Legitimising Younger Talent
Batista first came to prominence as a member of Evolution- along side Triple H, Ric Flair and Randy Orton. His big break came when he won the Royal Rumble in 2005 and challenged Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship- winning it at Wrestlemania in a match that defined him as a major player in the WWE. Now that Batista has returned, the WWE must have in the back of their mind the fact that there are a lot of younger wrestlers- particularly of the big man mould- that could do with a feud with the Animal. Big E Langston, Roman Reigns, Alexander Rusev (should he get the nod from NXT) not to mention the whole of the Wyatt Family could all use with some time in the ring with Batista in order to show that the WWE have earmarked them for bigger and better things. While I don't think it will take up all of his time in the WWE, don't be totally surprised if next year Batista does a couple of jobs for rising stars a la Chris Jericho.
