WWE: 10 Reasons Hulk Hogan Should Be Celebrated At Wrestlemania 30

8. The Posing

Before Hogan, after a win, a crowd favourite would wave a little bit and leave. Hogan knows best though and he gave the crowd what they really wanted - a long, crowd-pleasing, interactive celebration that brought everyone together. Just as his entrance music would make 20,000 people go crazy so would his €˜point and play€™ poses with the audience after a dramatic win. Even when entering the ring, he doesn€™t just take off his T-Shirt, he rips it off. At the end, dripping with sweat and fake tan, he points to the air, he €˜hulks up€™ and he cups his ear to the audience and gets them to scream back louder than other areas of the arena. For Hogan, who was perhaps never the best all-round wrestler of his era, he is the whole €˜entertainment€™ package and just as WWE wants us to be more interactive with Twitter and App Votes, Hogan knew this decades before. Get the audience involved and they€™ll feel like part of the experience. Even when taking a beating, he€™ll begin to €˜hulk up€™ and then point at his opponent in intense anger and the whole crowd shouts €˜You!€™. They€™re involved all of the way through. If he returns, those naysayers who deride him for being back in the ring will be the first ones hulking up in celebration as they remember their childhoods.
