WWE: 10 Reasons Randy Orton Was The Right Choice To Unify Titles

5. He Is A Superior Pro Wrestler

Cena Wwe Title Looking at TLC from a stand point of meritocracy, of course Randy Orton was the right choice to unify the titles. He can talk better than Cena. He can wrestle better than Cena. He has a better look than Cena. The master of the RKO is a truly complete pro wrestler. He deserved this opportunity more than John did because for the majority of 2013 he has been a much more active and better worker. Not to take anything away from Cena of course, but this was Orton's time. He stepped up as the main man in WWE when Cena went out injured at Summerslam, and it was right that WWE continue with Randy despite Cena coming back early. A storyline has been started in August and it is encouraging that WWE has stuck to their convictions of it. Orton and the Authority are what the show is about right now, not John Cena. Despite assertions of Randy's value as a worker, some people will disagree on his qualtiy. Some fans just don't get his style. They perhaps don't appreciate that everything Orton does is done for a reason. If you are frustrated with Orton it is because he wants you to be frustrated. He is methodical in that ring. He controls his matches with considered pace. When he slows it down and starts putting those boots in it is Orton working his brand of in ring psychology. He is one of the most consistent top workers of the last decade.
