6. Orton As A Character Makes Logical Story Sense

Randy had to win at TLC, creatively he is the key character in the Authority storyline - a loss would have hurt the entire structure of the WWE narrative right now. Acting as the main character of the Authority storyline, Orton can go on to much greater dominance in 2014. This story is only just getting going, we are only at the mid point of the narrative, Orton and the corporate powers have just gained ultimate control. The second part of this story will be who can wrestle the industry back from them? Orton was the perfect choice to take this story further. He has the character for it - he is an unlikable pretty boy who has been handed everything he has through family and industry connections. Historically his story is fitting too. He started as Triple H's anointed successor, and despite the end of Evolution we have seen it come full circle with Orton as Champion under Hunter's guidance. Cena could not have carried the story off as the 'face of the company' - it had to be Orton, the man who started the process. When he finally gets brought down it will be a famous night and the making of a new star.
