3. It Allows Orton To Main Event Wrestlemania With CM Punk

Perhaps the main reason that Orton had to win at TLC was to set up a main event match with CM Punk at Wrestlemania 30. It makes sense. John Cena is probably going to be busy doing something with Hulk Hogan, Daniel Bryan will be working with Triple H or Shawn Michaels ... it leaves Punk to battle it out with Orton for the WWE title. It is an angle that will work brilliantly. Punk is the ultimate anti authority figure in the WWE, he is the antithesis of Randy Orton. They have clashed at Mania before, but put the title on the line and have this go on last at Mania and you have a whole new ball game. It will be big. It will be a brilliant match as well, their styles mesh nicely and their promos will be heated. These are two elite men who deserve the Mania spotlight. For CM Punk he has stated it as his ultimate career goal to close out Wrestlemania. Randy Orton as WWE Heavyweight Champion could be finally about to give punk that chance.
