10. The Survivor Series Tradition
Vince McMahon has often used the Survivor Series event to christen new stars. Getting a push as the "emerging star" at Survivor Series is often one of the best starts a talent can have in a future main event career. Just look at some of the talents who have debuted at the big event - Undertaker, The Rock and Kurt Angle. Those guys certainly did alright for themselves. Roman Reigns himself debuted at the 2012 Survivor Series, but it was this year's 2013 Survivor Series which really marked the Samoan out as a star. Vince McMahon built the entire 5 on 5 traditional Survivor Series elimination mach around the big man. Reigns eliminated 4 men with 4 spears. The audience got the message loud and clear - this is the next big star to make a name for himself at Survivor Series. It is similar to how WWE pushed Randy Orton in his early days. The legend killer was given the same kind of dominant performances in traditional Survivor Series elimination matches. Those pushes helped in getting Orton over. Judging by the crowd reaction from last night, the push is also going to work for Reigns.
