9. Genuine Tag Teams
As mentioned before, for years WWE fans were subjugated to matches between teams where the writers clearly thought something along the lines of, "Mid-main event card wrestlers aren't doing anything... let's throw them together and form a tag team." Before you comment and say, "What about Rybaxel?!" they are the exception nowadays, instead of the rule in times past. The Usos are a genuine tag team who have really stepped up their game. I'm thrilled they're being given the opportunity to showcase their talents. The debuts of the Wyatts and the Shield have been revelations over the past year, with the Shield pulling 4* performances out of their back pockets week on week, Pay-Per-View after Pay-Per-View. Team Rhodes Scholars, the Rhodes Brothers, and Team Hell No also show how even throwing established players together can work if given the right storyline and personality development. Daniel Bryan's character development was outstanding during Team Hell No's run. The tag division is by no means the finished article. Teams like Rybaxel still take too much TV time up, and the less said about Khali and whoever he ends up tagging with the better. However, genuine teams are being given TV time and opportunities to shine. If that means viewers need to put up with Khali awkwardly stumbling to the ring and dancing with a hobbit occasionally, then so be it...
