WWE: 10 Reasons Tag Team Wrestling Just Got Great Again
7. The Shield And The Wyatt Family
You can run out of superlatives when talking about these groups, especially the Shield, as the Wyatts need a bit of time to develop further. Since debuting both stables have added not just to the tag division, but to the show and production as a whole. Bray Wyatt's creepy promos and epic entrance, along with Luke Harper's tremendous in-ring ability and an improving Erick Rowan, provide a welcome change from generic character scenarios. Wyatt has such huge potential and he's only young. He moves quickly for a man his size, has a unique look, and a killer finisher. His real quality comes in his mic ability. Wyatt can have feuds which are as intense and insane as characters like Mankind and Undertaker because of his character and confidence behind the mic. Here's hoping the WWE writers and highers-up give him a ball to run with, and keep pushing Luke Harper as a force. Now to the Shield. Dean Ambrose is ready made as the next psychotic, manipulative mega-heel. Seth Rollins is a magnificent performer who has thrown himself into his character (he's far better suited to be a babyface) and has improved dramatically on the mic in recent months. And Roman Reigns is a future WWE Champion and Wrestlemania headliner no question about it. He's green, he's uncomfortable and learning on the mic, but he just has "it". The matches these 3 put on are of such immense quality, full of little quirks which make their individual characters unique, that they have made the 6 man tag team match a must-see RAW or PPV main event. These two stables are a huge part of what has made the tag division interesting again in the WWE, and show that by building individuals up slowly and introducing them as teams, fans will become invested. The Shield break-up angle will be intense and legendary, and will propel each performer into the next stratosphere in the industry.
