WWE WrestleMania 30: 10 Reasons The Undertaker Losing The Streak Was A Waste Of 22 Years
6. It Wasn't The Main Event
Whether or not the match goes on last, in several of the years past The Undertaker's match has been the true main attraction of the show. This year it was arguably the fourth most important bout on the card. Part of that is due to the earlier point that the hype has been lackluster. Everything involving Daniel Bryan took higher precedent (and with good reason) and the John Cena/Bray Wyatt feud was also more prominently featured because John Cena. Something as huge and monumental as the end of the vaunted streak should be the one and only main event of WrestleMania. To have it take place during Undertaker's least intriguing streak match since Mark Henry at 22 was anti-climactic. I understand the logic of having the Divas match be the buffer to cool down the crowd but to see The Undertaker stumble backstage in defeat, walking beneath the 21-1 graphic only minutes before a batch of women who look as good as they wrestle poorly flooded the ring to a segment no one cared about did not to do the moment justice. The end of the streak should have been the closing to a WrestleMania, with Taker announcing afterward that it was his last match. A performer who has given us so much deserves a moment with the proper gravity and importance as closing the show.
