WWE: 10 Reasons We Want Evolution Vs The Shield At Extreme Rules

2. A Shield Victory Over Evolution Skyrockets Their Credibility

It is without question that anybody who watches the WWE respects The Shield and what they have accomplished in their time on the main roster. They had one of the greatest debuts any up-and-comer could ask for, they were booked very strongly for nearly a year, and their match quality was always superb. The Shield beat the likes of Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Sheamus, Randy Orton, Big Show and Kane and decimated The Undertaker on an edition of Friday Night Smackdown. They always get a reaction when they enter an arena, whether it was as heels or faces and are legitimately stars in the WWE. With all that said, a Shield victory over Evolution would do wonders for Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. While the three members of The Shield have conquered several big names in their time teaming with one another, they have never faced a collective as formidable as theirs. They have never faced a team with as much talent and intelligence as Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista. Beating them would legitimize The Shield, who are already bonafide stars, in a way that only Evolution could provide. It would skyrocket Roman Reigns as a babyface, to be able to say that he owns a victory over Triple H, if that's the way that the match turns out. It makes Seth Rollins look like a genius as the Architect of The Shield (or the brains of the operations) to out maneuver one of the greatest tactical minds in WWE's history (Triple H). Dean Ambrose has always had a weird quality that draws you in, but a great showing against a team the caliber of Evolution, and possibly proving to be more vicious and effective than two of the WWE's most vicious and effective superstars (Triple H and Randy Orton) would go a long way in making him a real threat to anybody who crosses him. This one victory would do so much for The Shield as individuals as well as collectively that the match needs to happen.
