9. Old School Writing Team

While the Raw writing team was having yet another creative meeting to figure out how to work in Vince McMahon's latest fart joke, Dusty Rhodes was turning NXT into the best wrestling show on television by booking wrestling angles. Make no mistake, there is a major difference between writing television (which is what Raw does) and booking wrestling (what Dusty does). The WWE has the benefit of having great wrestling minds backstage and, for whatever reason, they choose to put creative control of their flagship show in the hands of 30 year old sitcom/soap opera writers. Some of these people have never watched a wrestling program before being employed by WWE and it shows in their angles Imagine though if you could have a creative team of Dusty Rhodes, Dutch Mantell, Paul Heyman, and Michael Hayes all working together to book wrestling on a WCW Nitro show. Not only would it be the best booked show on the WWE Network, it would get new guys over without sacrificing already established stars. WCW could be the wrestling show while Raw could be the sports-entertainment show and I guarantee that the wrestling show finds an audience.
