8. With Two Strong Brands, WWE Can Operate More Efficiently

With WCW and WWE, Vince McMahon will be able to operate much more efficiently in a creative and corporate sense. Creatively, the company will be able to enhance wrestlers in more considered storylines. Right now there are some wrestlers who are too over exposed. For example, we see the Punk / Bryan vs Wyatt feud on both Raw and Smackdown. There simply isn't enough story to tell, that story would be much better done on one night of the week and left to rest until the next Monday when the next chapter can come in. This would free up space for characters and more storylines on the Friday show. It is a far more efficient use of characters. By bringing WCW in on Friday nights, WWE has a different story book to fill up with characters and feuds. A new brand essentially gives McMahon a fresh sheet of paper to script his world. WCW gives McMahon a chance to give characters and feuds a uniqueness that will allow the second main WWE show to stand alongside Raw. In a corporate sense, it also allows WWE to function in better ways. Right now talent is all over the place. When WWE is running two house shows on the same evening there can often be disappointment among fans on how the talent is split. The reintroduction of WCW will be the distinct selling point that WWE needs to add to its touring schedule. Right now fans are often having to buy tickets to 'WWE Live' with little idea on what talent will be appearing. It would also surely make WWE's job easier to know where it's talent will be for sure rather than having to constantly decide who appears on one show when. The WCW brand will add value across WWE. The world title would have a boost in meaningfulness by being defended exclusively in WCW. Pay per view shows could in theory become branded again, which would then allow the opposing brand more time to develop it's storylines. Take a look at Orton vs Bryan in Autumn 2013. They battled on three pay per views in a row when they only really had the interest to pull off main eventing two pay per views. A WCW pay per view instead of that second pay per view would have got around that problem. Instead WWE booked a show in which the main event had no result and it sucked.
