WWE: 10 Returns & Surprises We Want To See For The Network Launch

3. A Face/Heel Turn Which Genuinely Shocks

For years we've wanted Cena to turn. Well, for Cena to do anything which wasn't a regurgitation of the same stale schtick from five years ago. A heel turn would be great but, in the run up to WrestleMania XXX, it wouldn't be 'good for (financial) business'. Who else could turn though? Well, Cesaro could turn babyface and take on someone like Brock. It could potentially build up Cesaro to be the next big name in wrestling but, if a turn does come, it needs to be against a big name or else he'll simply get lost in the mid-card mix. A feud with Lesnar would do that, and he's certainly strong enough to make it a realistic battle. A turn by one of the Rhodes boys might be coming but would it genuinely shock? Maybe not as the rumours of a WrestleMania match between the two has been rumoured for three years now. It would still be an event though but could work better if built up like the Eddie/Rey story which began at WM. There it was a classic card-opener between two friends fighting to see who was the best. It was Rey's win that began Eddie's descent into crazed, embittered lunacy. Maybe this would work better for Cody and Goldust as they fight for Dusty's love. A Bryan turn? The audience might riot. A Batista turn? They might as well, the reaction is negative to him already but it wouldn't really shock because, ultimately, no-one cares. The most likely one would be Roman Reigns. Yes, he's already being cheered and built up but to finally see him destroy Dean Ambrose in the ring would create a massive reaction in a hyped up crowd and would be a turn set to deliver us a new top star.
