WWE: 10 Most Ridiculous Celebrity Cameos In Wrestling History

1. John Bobbitt

In the WWE Hall of Fame, there are some big name celebrities from the past who joined the wild world of wrestling for a bit. There are plenty of other big names to choose from if they were willing to be inducted. We've seen Hugh Jackman, Arnold Schwarzenegger and even Barack Obama on WWE TV over the years. While fans may speculate on who may be the next celebrity inducted into their Hall of Fame, everyone is most likely in agreement that it will not be John Bobbitt. Bobbitt, of course, is only known for one thing, and that's having his member chopped off by his wife while he was sleeping. That's pretty much it. That's a worse reason for being famous than Snooki! Sometimes fans like to forget the terrible things that happened during the Attitude era. Some remember it only for the high points like Austin giving McMahon a Stunner, and The Rock 'n' Sock Connection. Well, there was actually a fair share of garbage during that time. And having Bobbitt around for an angle was one of those lesser celebrated moments. While Bobbit's incident with his wife happened in 1993, it was a full five years later that he showed up on Raw. The joke was already pretty well played out at that point, after countless late night comedians and the general public all took their shot with him as the punchline. Still, Bobbitt played a role in WWE history when he saved Val Venis from suffering the same fate that he lived through simply by turning off a light. Venis had been having an affair Yamaguchi-San's wife, and this understandably upset him greatly. He had Kaientai kidnap Venis and hold him down...while naked. Yamaguchi-San then pulled out a samurai sword to "choppy choppy" his "pee pee" as WWE put it so elegantly. The room suddenly went dark, and we were left with a cliffhanger. Was Venis okay? Did he still has his pee pee? Fans found out the following week that Bobbit was a hero. Yep, it was him who flicked off the light switch as Venis was about to lose his manhood. Now, it's pretty amazing that he just happened to be at that exact same arena at the exact same moment in time that Venis was in trouble, but in WWE lore this actually happened. Now, let's never mention it again.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
