WWE: 10 Rivalries That Were Too Personal To Be Fake

8. Randy Orton And Ken Kennedy

If you ever wondered what happened to the once promising career of Ken Kennedy and why he didn't become a top guy in WWE, there are a few reasons. He suffered some injuries at the wrong time, he was suspended for using performance enhancing drugs and he really wasn't liked by Randy Orton. That last reason may be the most important one because others have come back from injuries and suspensions. In Kennedy's case, he wasn't able to return after repeated run-ins with Orton. During a tag match in May 2009, Kennedy gave Orton a back suplex on his shoulder, which was injured. Words were exchanged. Kennedy was fired soon after that. Kennedy spoke about the incident in an interview with PWRShow: "He literally blew up in front of all the talent including Vince and Stephanie and began to lecture me about how I had to be careful and his health was very important...Randy jumped really, really hard. In wrestling it€™s give and take€.It was a matter of either I drop him on his head or I help him through this. His neck never even touched the mat which makes me wonder why he even went to the trainers room to get his neck taped up. He was so injured that he went on to wrestle three nights in Mexico.€ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulob_LR-kIs Now in his late 30s, Kennedy is wrestling under his real name of Ken Anderson in TNA Wrestling where he's been since leaving in WWE. It's not known if WWE had any interest in him when he became a free agent. They moved on and so did he while Orton was clearly the winner in this feud.
