Rock and Mankind used simultaneous chair shots to render each other unconscious; Jericho dropped a wall of barrels onto of Kane; and Triple H suplexed Jericho through the Spanish announce table. Cena and Batista at Extreme Rules began following those templates: Cena delivered AAs onto a chair and later through a table; Batista put Cena through another table with a spinebuster. The announcers- Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, and Matt Striker- seemed to waver back and forth between "This is so smart!" to "Really?" to "Ugh" as Mike Chioda finished his ten-count. "Batista's being embarrassed by this," was Lawler's observation, and it was the most accurate observation The King may have ever made.
