10 Stupidest WWE Superstar Arrests

2. Rob Van Dam

WWE.comWWE.comRVD has never had any qualms with professing his love of marijuana. In fact, his entire character is that of a laid back stoner who flops around the ring with sloppy offense, and RVD 420 was his fans' answer to Austin 3:16. Van Dam was someone who WWE always seemed slightly resistant to pushing all the way to the top, despite the tremendous crowd support he always received. When the summer of 2006 rolled around, however, it seemed like the company had finally relented and were ready to go all-in with the popular superstar. He was awarded the WWE championship with a win over John Cena in the main event of One Night Stand 2006. The match is famous for a molten crowd that would have revolted had Cena left with his hand raised. With the top title in the business around his waist, it seemed as if this was RVD's big chance. And he blew it. Or more accurately, he smoked it away. He and fellow ECW alumnus Sabu were pulled over for speeding by police the following month, and during the course of conversation the officer smelled weed in the car. A search of the vehicle yielded 18 grams of marijuana, and a search of the wrestling record books reveals a screeching halt to RVD's push. He dropped the title immediately to Edge, as well as the ECW belt to Big Show and his career never quite recovered.
