4. Chris Masters
Original Gimmick: Lex Luger Lex Luger was renowned for his impressive muscular physique and actually originally signed for McMahons short lived WBF, rather than WWE. The World Bodybuilding Federation lasted a mere two years; the reason being that Vince attempted to turn bodybuilding into a WWE-style show. However rather than wrestle, each character would just stand and flex their muscles at a camera; imagine staying up for two hours of that every Monday night. Mr McMahon is undoubtedly a top business entrepreneur, but he is clearly determined to challenge that widespread view at times. With the WBF dead and gone, Lex Luger debuted in the WWE. As a wrestler, he was known as the Narcissist and would stand in front of a full length mirror and flex his bulging muscles before he was ready to compete. The Narcissist did reasonably well as a heel and his biggest feud with the gimmick came against Mr. Perfect, as they battled to determine who was closer to perfection. Fast forward to 2005, Raw introduces the world to Chris Masters A.K.A. The Masterpiece. His titron featured the statue of David wedged in amongst all the slow motion shots of different muscles on Masters body. He would then flex at the crowd, before walking down to the ring with a satisfied grin beaming across his chops. Both wrestlers also had incredibly limited movesets.
