9.The Miz
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7DLFQI5vwQ The Problem: The Miz is in a rut that has been going on since he dropped the WWE Championship and teamed up with R-Truth. As bizarre as the joining of R-Truth and Miz was, it was possibly the last time that the Miz was truly anywhere near the main event of a PPV. Everything about his act is stale and needs freshening up. His music is 4 years old now, and in all fairness was hardly a classic wrestling theme when he started using it. "Say goodbye to the good old days, they're never coming back, watch your future fade." Lyrically it's a reference to The Miz as the future of a company, changing the status quo, not caring about the traditions of the past. That's just not applicable any more, The Miz is not a new face challenging pre-conceptions about what it is to be a wrestler. The song also references "get my dues paid" presumably a comment on the fact many people felt Miz jumped straight into WWE from reality television, thus not paying his dues. This was who the Miz was, but it is not who The Miz is now. He's a former WWE Champion, a former Wrestlemania main eventer. His music should try and reflect this change. The Solution: The Miz does not need a completely new take on his music, the style itself is not the problem in my eyes. It might not be a song I'd listen to in my spare time, but I feel it suits the Miz. A new song, even by the same act, would just give a bit more life to the Miz, who has been a little lifeless recently. Obviously a new theme song won't reinvent the character completely, but it would give it a little jolt that might help it along the way.
