WWE: 10 Superstars Who Ended Up With Surprising Jobs After Wrestling

10. Marc Mero, Charity And Church

Mero1

We all envied Marc Mero in the 90's WWF, not because he was a great wrestler - but because he was married to the amazingly hot Sable.

He achieved some midcard fame with the WWF in his 90's run, but had none of the success that Sable enjoyed as the face of the WWF Divas. Things turned sour for the couple in 1999 when they decided to leave Vince McMahon due to various disputes. They weren't well liked backstage and the viewers didn't miss them much either as the WWF catapulted to bigger successes. Marc had walked away from a three year contract with a guaranteed downside of $325,000.

For a while, things went downhill. He went on to some more wrestling with WCW, TNA and the indies - to little success. There was also a 2003 break up from Sable, who instead went on to marry pay per view box office sensation Brock Lesnar. Marc Mero was quickly forgotten from the world of pro wrestling.

However, Mero is a happy man. He now works as an "inspirational speaker", managing a charity that gives talks to schools on anti-bullying. It certainly seems an admirable route to have taken. Mero is also an active church man, saying of his post wrestling career -

"I'm dedicating the rest of my life to helping young people know that there's hope in this world ... At the end of your life, it's not how much money you have in the bank or what kind of car you drove or house you lived in; it's about how much you give and how much of a positive impact you make on another person's life."
