WWE: 10 Superstars Who Could Never Let Wrestling Go
8. Hulk Hogan
Hulk Hogan was to the WWF what Ric Flair was to the NWA/WCW; he was 'The Man'. He was the embodiment of all things Titan. Then he switched to WCW in the mid 1990's and reinvented himself. Well done Hulk! Except it's now 2014, and if he could pass the WWE medical he would like to wrestle at WM30 - despite all of the back surgeries (to name but a few!). Yes, he loves wrestling - but he loves being Hulk Hogan IN wrestling. He had creative responsibility in TNA but couldn't resist making himself a focal point of their storylines, taking the focus off the wrestlers who make the money for the company week in and week out at the house shows. Hogan now finds himself needing the money (to an extent - although he's not as bad as Flair). But Hogan finds himself missing the spotlight and wanting to relive his heyday over and over and over..... He'll be around wrestling for as long as there is breath in his lungs.
I am a teacher, but also write about all things wrestling. I have been writing/interviewing wrestling personalities for over 7 years for both the Wrestling Observer site, as well as The History Of WWE site.
