WWE: 10 Superstars Of The 2000s That Everyone Forgot About

4. John Morrison

John Morrison John Morrison is probably the most decorated yet forgotten member of the WWE roster in the noughties. After a brief appearance as Eric Bischoff's assistant "Johnny Nitro", Morrison was called up to the roster as part of the tag team, MNM in 2004. In their first match, they won tag team gold and became one of the most popular tag teams until 2007. Over his WWE career, Morrison held the Intercontinental Championship 3 times and Tag Team Gold 5 times (WWE Tag Team Championship 4 times, World Tag Team Championship once). Perhaps the most prestigious title he held during his tenure was the ECW World Championship, the closest he came to reaching the main event of the WWE as a permanent talent. Morrison, though popular during his run and one of the most talented wrestlers on the roster, never really did anything stand-out during his WWE tenure and left the company after almost a decade on television in November 2011. Surprisingly, he was the Marty Jannetty to The Miz's Shawn Michaels. He received an angle to end his tenure, rather than disappearing completely and fans were made to believe that he left to help heal his injuries sustained from an attack. After some time on the independent circuit, Morrison announced this month that he would be returning to the WWE in the near future. Hopefully, his second run will turn out to be more memorable than his last. Otherwise, it's just a lot of talent going to waste.
