WWE: 10 Superstars Of The 2000s That Everyone Forgot About

3. Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley Bobby Lashley was the perfect "big guy". He looked intimidating, he could kick ass when he needed to, and some day could have probably become the WWE Champion. Unfortunately for Lashley, some of the storylines that he was granted by the WWE really did him no favours, and are better left forgotten than remembered by WWE fans. Who can remember the December to Dismember pay per view back in 2006 that not only presented a less than average show, but produced the lowest buy-rate in WWE history? Nobody, and for good reason. Sadly, this event was where he won the ECW World Championship. The most remembered moment of Lashley's WWE career would probably be the "Hair vs. Hair" match back at Wrestlemania 23, where he represented and won the match for Donald Trump. His greatest chance at WWE history would have been against John Cena at the Great American Bash in July 2007 for the WWE Championship. While the match was probably better than it should have been, it was the last momentous match that Lashley competed in. He disappeared not soon after, having suffered a genuine injury that needed six months to recover from. He never saw a return to the ring, and was released in 2008. After his WWE tenure, Lashley had an unremarkable run in TNA and several other independent wrestling companies. He began a career in MMA, but has practically disappeared in 2013. Maybe a surprise return is on the cards, and it's all a part of the mystery? Or maybe, Lashley really has just been forgotten.
