WWE: 10 Superstars That Retired Before They Were 40

10. Michelle McCool

The former 2 time Women's Champion and 2 time Divas Champion retired from WWE in 2011 at the very young age of 31. Her reason? She wanted to start a family with her husband The Undertaker and in August of 2012 their daughter Kaia was born. McCool found her way into WWE through the Diva Search. Even though she wasn't a winner of a Diva Search, she impressed officials enough to earn a contract. Due to her athletic background, she became a quick learner and ultimately had success as a top diva in WWE. Her most famous role was as part of the Laycool duo with Layla. The pair did all they could to infuriate their opponents like Mickie James, Natalya, Beth Phoenix, Maria and others. They were very annoying a lot of the time, but that was the point. They were meant to get under the skin of the viewer. Since she is only 34 years old there's definitely a possibility that McCool could return to WWE in the future. A few months ago there were reports that Undertaker and Michelle went to the WWE Performance Center to check it out, which led to speculation she might come back. It's likely up to her if she would want to have another run. If she's content staying at home, raising a family and enjoying life then that's fine too. There's really nothing left for her to do in WWE, so it's understandable that she has moved on.
