WWE: 10 Superstars That Prove Wrestling Really Is A Travelling Circus
9. Phantasio
Phantasio debuted on WWF Wrestling Challenge on July 16th, 1995 ... and vanished as fast as he arrived! Appearing only once on television, this white-faced magician competed against Tony DeVito and won the match after "magically" pulling Tony's boxers off through his wrestling singlet before rolling him up for the pinfall victory. After the win, Phantasio went on to pull of referee Earl Hebner's boxers as well through his pants! Although Phantasio's presence in the WWF was short-lived, he left a lasting impression ... which wasn't too difficult as he was the first wrestling magician to grace the company's squared-circle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwmxqEJnzHE Although he wasn't given any time to truly develop his character before the fans' eyes, Phantasio became part of a selective group of wrestlers with "magical" and "supernatural" abilities that would continue to reinforce wrestling's standing as the modern-day circus through the Monday Night Wars, the Attitude Era, the Ruthless Aggression Era, and even during the PG Era. "Magician" Honorable Mentions: The Undertaker, Papa Shengo, Kane, Kevin Thorn, & The Boogeyman.
