WWE: 10 Superstars You Will Be Surprised Are 10 Year Company Veterans

9. Vickie Guerrero

Vickie Guerrero first started working for WWE on a minor pay per appearance deal in 2004. This work mostly entailed interviews centred around her husband Eddie Guerrero becoming WWE Champion and the face of Smackdown. By the summer of 2005 the WWE were using Vickie again, prominently featuring her as an on screen character in the Eddie vs Rey Mysterio family feud. Her character performance impressed people backstage in WWE and she became very well liked. Then tragedy struck. Eddie Guerrero died in November 2005 due to heart failure. Wife Vickie was devastated, and you would have thought the grieving widow would never be seen again on WWE television. To the contrary, Vickie emerged again in the fall of 2006 as a character in the Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero feud. The widow of Eddie wasn't a sympathetic face character however, instead she became a full blown heel who helped Chavo get the better of Mysterio! Her work was so effective that WWE ended up signing Vickie to a permanent contract in 2007, in which she starred on Smackdown. Over the next few years she developed more and more in GM stints and relationships with Edge and Dolph Ziggler. By the time 2012 rolled around she was arguably the most confident and assured WWE act on the mic. Her cougar routine and other comedy segments are brilliantly played and Guerrero deserves huge credit for being such an entertaining act.
