WWE: 10 Superstars You Won't Believe Vince McMahon Gave Contracts To

3. Mike Adamle

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeFiIl4i5lc Unless you're the former Rico Constantino, WWE and American Gladiators just don't mix. That didn't stop Vince McMahon from bringing in the Gladiators host, and former NFL player, Mike Adamle for an announcing job. In a very loose sense, Adamle did have some prior experience in the field of sports entertainment. But if you watched his run in WWE, you could see that he knew next to nothing about professional wrestling. In his very first appearance on TV he wasted no times screwing things up. He referred to Jeff Hardy as "Jeff Harvey" at the Royal Rumble in front of thousands of fans in the arena. He later mistakenly called his own co-host "The Tazz" instead of Tazz. Without fail, he seemed to mess something up in every single segment he ever appeared in. Somehow, despite his incredibly consistent terribleness, Adamle was given even more TV time when he became the General Manager of Raw. McMahon must have found his constant screw ups endearing. It was as bad as you would have expected. Finally the boss came to his senses and got rid of him. If only he would have remembered that he had Jim Ross, one of the greatest announcers of all time, on the roster this entire mess with Adamle could have been prevented.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
