6. Code Of Conduct

The wrestling business can be a strange one, filled with internal hierarchy and underhanded dealings. Many new wrestlers become the victims of "ribs" (pranks) or "heat" (backstage animosity). Though it's difficult or impossible to avoid in some cases, Lance Storm does his best to teach his students how to act in the locker room so as to minimize issues €“ respect for veterans, honor for the art of wrestling, and an overall good attitude. Some of the ways to maintain a good reputation are obvious €“ nobody's going to like a rookie who carries himself like he's The Rock, for instance €“ but others are stranger, their origins a bit mysterious. For instance, it's traditional for a newcomer entering a locker room to introduce himself to everyone else with a handshake. Though it seems simple enough, it's the kind of thing that a kid fresh out of wrestling camp won't know unless he or she is taught it, and failure to do so can lead to serious heat. These lessons show just how comprehensive Storm's training is.
