8. He Has Had A Bit Of An Identity Crisis
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XyO20rMrpY During his time in WWE's developmental system, Rose underwent three different name changes and approximately four character tweaks. He entered Florida Championship Wrestling 2010 under his real name, then became Leo Kruger shortly thereafter. It was as Kruger that he would experience the majority of his pre-main roster success. Under that name, however, he portrayed two different characters. First, he was portrayed as the relative of a former South African prime minister. Then, in September of 2012, he was repacked as a deranged and psychotic mercenary. Or big game hunter, depending on what week it was. As Kruger, he achieved great success in both FCW and NXT. He won a great deal of matches, ascended to the top spot in FCW and was always portrayed as one of the more prominent stars in NXT. But it was not until he adopted the Adam Rose persona and completely transformed himself from crazed lunatic to party animal that he made that connection with the audience and really threw himself into the role. Any success the South African achieves at the next level of competition will be directly accredited to his latest identity.
