WWE: 10 Times Superstars Went Superhero

5. WWE's Wonder Women

During the evening of the eighth selection on this list (Candice Michelle as Catwoman), another Diva was inspired be a spandex-covered defender of justice. The then-reigning Women's Champion, Trish Stratus, came out to the ring dressed as none other than the Amazing Amazon herself, Wonder Woman! It was the perfect superhero for Trish to pay homage to, considering her own legendary status as WWE's golden girl and Wonder Woman incarnate (it also helped that Trish is of Greek heritage). However, Trish was not the first Diva to don Princess Diana's attire, as two years prior, Dawn Marie competed in one of many holiday-themed contests against bitter rival Torrie Wilson, dressed in a less-flashy but just as titillating costume. The costume didn't stay on for long as Dawn decided to climb into the Bobbing For Apples tub and strip herself down to her unmentionables to the delight of the SmackDown! crowd. Let us also not forget that before the rise of Trish and the WWE debut of Dawn, it was Chyna who was heavily rumored to be in talks for the role of Wonder Woman in a feature length film during the peak of her WWE tenure.
