WWE: 10 Times Triple H Consciously Didn't Do What Was "Best For Business"

10. HHH Defeats Every Other World Champion Ever

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dY6kw0P1XIc So yeah, back in the early part of 2000, HHH got the WWF World title for the second time, because he was gonna be champion and fans could go to hell if they didn't wanna get on board that train. I can't even blame him for that one, because Vince wanted to push him to that point himself and even went out there to lay down for him. So fast-forward to February of 2000, as HHH has been champion for a couple of months and has retired Mick Foley. You'll note that HHH later said that no one ever laid down for him to make him a star, even though I just cited two examples of exactly that. Anyway, in an incident you may have heard about before, Chris Benoit and some other people departed WCW and joined the WWF, and in Benoit's case a very strong argument could be made that he was WCW World champion at the time he left. And so, on the very first episode of Smackdown where the newly-named Radicalz wrestled...Benoit lost to HHH. Now, you might say, this is an isolated incident where HHH was being super proactive and somehow had access to a time machine, thus knowing that Benoit would murder his family 7 years later. However, a couple of months later, ECW World champion Taz also appeared on WWF TV with that title, and HHH beat him for no reason as well. In all fairness, HHH later admitted on the ECW DVD that it was kind of a dick move on his part. So we'll only slot this one at #10.
