WWE: 10 Triple H Feuds That Totally Sucked

2. Scott Steiner In 2003

When WWE brought in Scott Steiner towards the end of 2002 it was treated as a big deal. Steiner was a main event performer in WCW during their last year and had really become a top talent in terms of developing a look that worked for him. The problem was that Steiner got over in WCW as a heel that physically overpowered people. He used weapons to get heat. He bragged about his physique. When he got to WWE, they had him do similar things although they made him a babyface. That was a big mistake. No offense to him, but he sucked as a babyface by that point in his career. Steiner was a great bully and that was the only role he should have been in. The build to their matches was dumb. They had stupid things like posedowns and arm wrestling contests. Who cares? It was as if this feud was Vince McMahon's fantasy of two muscle men going at it, so they had to throw in the bodybuilding type stuff to make it interesting. The fans didn't care. Hunter's match with Steiner at the 2003 Royal Rumble was one of the worst major title matches in WWE history. Steiner kept on throwing suplexes. It was so boring. Then they did a finish with the ref throwing the match out, which led to a match at No Way Out 2003. Hunter won that one and thankfully that put an end to the feud as well as Steiner's push.
