WWE: 10 Triple H Feuds That Totally Sucked

4. CM Punk And Kevin Nash In 2011

The storyline with Hunter and CM Punk in 2011 could have been very effective if Hunter did the smart thing by turning heel. At the time Hunter was the newly appointed WWE COO. Instead of the heel turn, he stayed in the boring babyface role and then they involved Kevin Nash for some odd reason. It just didn't work. Following Punk's WWE Title win over John Cena at SummerSlam 2011, Triple H was the referee of the match. After he left, Kevin Nash showed up out of nowhere, nailed Punk with a clothesline and hit him with a Powerbomb. Alberto Del Rio showed up, cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase, became the WWE Champion and Punk got screwed. What should have happened was Hunter should have said he sent Nash there to screw over Punk. Instead, they tried to explain it by having Nash saying he got a text telling him to attack the winner. All of this led to a match between Hunter and CM Punk at Night of Champions 2011 that was one of the most overbooked matches in recent years. Kevin Nash showed up again, he initially went after Hunter and instead went after Punk. Hunter ended up winning even though he was a part time performer at that point. Punk should have won the match especially since they didn't follow up on this story very well. Later that year in December there was a Triple H vs. Kevin Nash in Sledgehammer Ladder Match. It was one of the most boring ladder matches ever. This whole thing was a giant mess.
