WWE: 10 Ways To Address Raw Ratings Disaster

2. Listen To The Audience

Vince McMahon often states that the audience dictates the content of his shows. However, in the last few months, the evidence has been to the contrary. Daniel Bryan has been one of the most vocally supported WWE acts in years. Vince did put him in a main event run, and it may still pay dividends in a Wrestlemania push - but for now the handling of WWE content in the last six months has pretty much been to do the opposite of what the audience desires. The result is that fans have had the life and faith sucked out of them, and ultimately this is why Raw is suffering right now. You could also argue that PPV numbers dipped under Bryan. Seemingly in that respect the audience didn't buy into the bearded star, and Vince is now listening to his audience by demoting him from main events. Summerslam was a bad number despite boasting Lesnar v Punk and Cena v Bryan. In fairness to Vince he can't seem to win - he gave viewers exactly what they wanted at that PPV and it didn't draw as strong as the previous year. Nevertheless, I think Vince should listen to his audience and restore Daniel Bryan to the main event scene. The lowest rated Raw of the year wasn't main evented by Daniel Bryan - it was Randy Orton and John Cena turning the viewers off.
