9. A Sole Hogan Appearance

That's Cena's match with Bray Wyatt re-booked, but what happens to Hulk Hogan in all of this? The Hulkster had been widely tipped to feature as Cena's corner man, what does he do now? To be honest, I never liked the idea of Hogan in Cena's corner. It almost seemed as if John was getting lumbered with the Hulkster, as if he was chaperoning the Hogan return. Cena deserves his own limelight, not a sideshow act with Hulk. What I propose instead is that WWE play this one really simple - have Hogan come to the ring and cut a promo. It works because Hogan really can't do anything physical anyway. Fans want to see and hear him, so simply give them that. As a nice bit of buffer between major matches, have the 'I Am A Real American' music hit and send Hogan to the ring. He should get a very good pop that way, because it isn't detracting from anything else. Hogan can soak the cheers up and play to the audience a bit before taking the mic in the ring. I envision him doing the usual promo, telling the fans how great they are and how much it means to be back at Mania. It would be a nice moment. Sometimes the simple things work best. WWE shouldn't overthink this one, Hogan doesn't need to be involved in any angles.
