9. Firing Cody Rhodes On Raw

This one was uncalled for. Triple H (kayfabe) made Cody Rhodes fight for his job after he had spoken out against The Authority's regime. Rhodes was pitted against the WWE Champion Randy Orton and duly lost. Triple H, ever a man of his word, then fired Rhodes on the spot. This was a great example of The Game incorporating his real life authority into on-screen storylines to further his heel persona. It worked for Mr McMahon for all those years, and was certainly working for Triple H here. The fact that he defended his actions so stringently only makes the horrible boss routine all the more dislikeable. Add to the mix the news of Rhodes' real-life wedding and we had a type of tragedy capable of cementing anyone's heel status.
