8. Giant Gonzales
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zI3yQ0OGgPA The Undertaker's streak has been one of the proudest (and most profitable) selling moments for the WWE over the past few Wrestlemania. As we head towards Wrestlemania 30 in March 2014 we're reminded that The Undertaker is the most successful performer in company history to ever appear at the event - and we certainly hope he's fit enough to attend! But it's his third appearance at the annual event, in 1993 which sees him mentioned on this list because of his opponent. Jorge González (billed as El Gigante in WCW) made the move to WWE in January 1993 - appearing at the Royal Rumble match and eliminating the Undertaker. Jorge was an Argentinian basketball player who stood 2.42 m (7 ft 11 in) tall and had been drafted into professional wrestling by Ted Turner shortly after he retired from the Sport. His career in WWE was relatively short lived, with a match against the Undertaker at Wrestlemania IX being his highlight, even though he lost within four minutes. Wearing a fake body suit showing muscles and an excess of hair, the assumption was that his height made him some kind of mysterious creature to be feared, who was managed by Harvey Wippleman in order to destroy Paul Bearer's Undertaker. Gonzales had limited appeal, he wasn't a wrestler by trade and had learned very little during his time in WCW, with most of his strength based around (you guessed it) his height! By October 1993 Gonzales had made his last appearance on Monday Night Raw and within a year of his original arrival was a forgotten memory.
