7. The Beverly Brothers vs. The Bushwhackers - 1992
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DVIFlvYUrA It's tough to sit through another Bushwhackers match after watching that one earlier. The Bushwhackers were the babyface team with a guy named Jamison in their corner. His gimmick was that he was an awkward nerd basically. The Genius was managing the Beverly Brothers. It didn't last too long. The Genius was a great gimmick, but once Mr. Perfect couldn't compete anymore it was all over for him. What boggles my mind about this match is that at no point can it be considered good, yet they were given 15 minutes. That's how it was in this time period, though. A lot of tag matches went that long, followed the tag formula and did their best to tell the same story. The problem is a team like the Bushwhackers shouldn't have matches that long. Towards the end of the match, The Genius hit Jamison in the face. "He hitted me," said Jamison. Yes, he spoke like that. The finish saw the Beverly Brothers win with a double axe handle off the top rope. Yeah that's right, a double axe handle was enough to end this misery after 15 minutes. How many matches have ever been won with that move? Not very many. It happened here, though. Of course it did. The only good thing about this match is the commentary of Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan, who were at their absolute best during this event.
