WWE: 10 Wrestlers Loved As Upcomers But Hated Once Popular

6. Kevin Nash

kevin nash Following a successful run in WWE, Kevin Nash had moved on to World Championship Wrestling and as part of the revolutionary New World Order had helped the upstart promotion dethrone WWE as ratings kingpin and changed the landscape of professional wrestling. Kevin Nash had made himself one of the biggest names in all of professional wrestling, despite the wavering popularity of the nWo. The unbridled popularity of Kevin Nash wasted away seven days and one finger poke after winning his first WCW Championship. While Nash, another member of Michaels' Kliq, also had a reputation for being able to influence bookers or in later cases be the booker himself, having far more pull with Eric Bischoff than Michaels ever did with Vince McMahon. In the latter stages of his career Nash has also been somewhat critical of smaller wrestlers in interviews and podcasts, this has drawn the ire from a large part of the audience which enjoys seeing the lucha and high flying styles. These elements have combined to make Nash one of the more despised figures in wrestling after having reached a level of popularity rivaled only by Steve Austin at the time. By using, or abusing in fans' eyes, his influence, Nash became one of the most despised figures in wrestling.
