WWE: 10 Wrestlers Who Have Suffered The Most Since WrestleMania 29

3. Fandango

Last year at this time, Fandango was Vince McMahon's pet project. Despite never wrestling a single match on Raw or SmackDown, he was given a pretty solid spot against Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 29. Even more surprising was that he was given a clean victory against the former world champ. He was on a roll. The next night on Raw, the crowd gave birth to "Fandano'ing" and were humming and dancing to his catchy theme song all night long. Instead of realizing fans were doing this ironically, WWE fully embraced it, which quickly killed the short-lived craze. Fandango had clearly peaked, and hasn't really had a decent feud since. His in-ring skills also seem to have diminished, as he loses more than he wins. He's no longer a threat. Currently, he's in a feud with Santino which is one of the worst things going on in WWE right now. If he's going to even appear on WrestleMania this year, it will most likely be in a throwaway comedy match. It felt like there was a lot of potential for Fandango last year. He was getting great heat from the crowd, and he fully embraced the act. He was like Goldust when that character first debuted. It was an act that had no right to work, yet it did despite how weird and goofy it was. Unfortunately, McMahon appears to have lost interest in Fandango and has moved onto the Wyatt Family, and other newer acts. Maybe next year will be better for Fandango, but it's just as likely the ballroom dancer will be dancing in the dark for sometime to come.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
