WWE: 11 Best Things To Ever Happen After Raw Went Off Air

10. Ric Flair's Hometown Celebration

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DVAsRer2-U This was the post-Raw celebration that set the standard for locker room parties after the cameras stopped. Taking place in the May of 2003, Ric Flair had just nearly won the World Championship for a 17th time from good friend Triple H in an exhilarating Raw main event. The fact that this had all gone down in Greenville, South Carolina, a hotbed of Flair's 80's heyday, made the action so much more compelling. Flair was as over as a wrestler can be. Hunter had won the main event and departed, the cameras stopped. For the fans in attendance however, it wasn't over, Shawn Michaels led the locker room out in procession, heels and faces mixing to celebrate Ric's career. It wasn't even as if Flair was retiring, it was all about showing respect, demonstrating gratitude to Flair for the industry he helped build starting out of his days in the Carolinas. Austin brought the beers and even Stephanie McMahon came out for a genuine and touching hug. When Triple H's and Vince McMahon's music hit, we half expected the heels to deck Ric, but no, hugs and beers all round completed the emotional evening. This was one of the greatest showings of genuine respect that the WWE has ever afforded a performer.
