WWE: 11 Best Things To Ever Happen After Raw Went Off Air

9. Undertaker And Vince Say Goodbye To Flair

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vi45gyB0xkc Five years after the feel-good night in Greensville, Flair was leaving the WWE after a retirement angle with Shawn Michaels that involved one of the most emotionally thrilling WrestleMania matches ever. In paying tribute to Ric, Triple H led the WWE locker room in scenes reminiscent of the Greensville night. This time it went down on tv, one of the few times that the company televised heels and faces breaking kayfabe. However, two men never appeared on camera to honour Ric. The show ended and neither Vince McMahon or Undertaker had came out. Instead the two massive backstage personalities appeared after the cameras stopped rolling. The reason for this was obviously that Vince and Taker's characters were too big for them to break kayfabe on camera. Taker came out first, doing his traditional entrance, before planting a big hug around Naitch with some personal words being whispered into the legend's ear. The Deadman then kneeled in front of Ric before joining the rest of the locker room. Vince then came to the ring for a typically over the top McMahon hug. Flair was in tears. All of this would never have been possible even 15 years ago. Vince McMahon famously put Triple H in wrestling purgatory for a year when 'The Game' broke character in 1996's Curtain Call. Another point to consider about Flair's farewell, Taker and Vince were too over to break kayfabe on TV ... surely everyone in the locker room should be that over? It doesn't say much for everyone else.
