WWE: 12 Criminal Gimmicks That Should Have Lead To Jail Time

7. Edge "Murdered" Paul Bearer (With The Help Of Kane)

Crime: Kidnapping, incitement and accidental murder. Paul Bearer had a pretty rough time of it in WWE: not only did he have his face singed by The Undertaker, he was almost buried alive in concrete and suffered the final ignominy of having his ashes desecrated by CM Punk. And not only that, he was also pretty much murdered when Edge kidnapped and taunted him to annoy Kane in an extended feud that eventually lead to the Big Red Machine unwittingly killing his own father. Having set up elaborate pranks that involved taunting Kane with dummies and look-a-likes, Edge pushed his opponent too far and incited him to push what he thought was a dummy off the top of a pair of ladders and over a balcony onto concrete. Sadly, it was the real Bearer, though his story deaths never really got in the way of him returning alive and well, and he unsurprisingly resurfaced in 2012 for another "fatal" appearance that marked his last ever appearance. Punishment: Life imprisonment.
