WWE: 12 Great Wrestlers Totally Screwed By Comedy Gimmicks
8. R-Truth
R-Truth has been booked so hot and cold in WWE that it's sometimes hard to tell if they like him or hate him. Either way, Truth is not being used to his fullest ability. Truth was pushed as a babyface to the US title, but it was his heel work that got him into a WWE title match at a PPV with John Cena. Truth's work as a semi-crazed wrestler who was pissed off with his place in the company allowed him to really show what he was capable of on the mic. It really seemed like Truth had ascended to the main event for a little while. Then he mentioned Little Jimmy one too many times and it was decided that he needed an imaginary friend. Everything has been downhill from there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhtrJ7KD6Ao Even with Little Jimmy he managed to find some level of success, but now he is back to being a guy who raps his own entrance music, does a few dance moves and loses just about every match he is in. For being 42, R-Truth is in extremely good shape, he is still able to go in the ring and he has the charisma to make the crowd love or hate him. His booking over the past two years does not reflect his level of skill, which is often the case with Superstar who had some level of popularity before joining WWE.
