She struck gold, though, when she headed to WWE and started shattering dreams as the glamorous Marlena. As the valet for Goldust, Marlena was a perfect fit and an unforgettable character. Visually, she was striking in gowns fit for the Oscars and a cigar that signified executive power and success. She was the producer, putting her client in the Intercontinental Championship picture. Life beyond Goldust saw Runnels use her real name. She worked with Val Venis before forming Pretty Mean Sisters with Jacqueline Moore, managing D'Lo Brown and Mark Henry, and then Meat. Terri was such an effective manager that she hosted a tournament in her own name with the prize being $100,000 and her managerial services. In the process, Runnels kicked off the now legendary series of tag team ladder matches between Edge and Christian and The Hardy Boyz. Runnels managed both teams over time and played a pivotal role in the Dudleys becoming the third leg of an incredible tag team feud. That's a pretty massive impact for a valet to claim.
